Biographies

Larry Price, piano, is originally from Florida. He began his Musical career playing Dixieland Jazz on the clarinet. He later switched to piano and studied jazz at the University of Miami. After moving to Germany, he studied at the conservatory of music in Luxembourg, won the jazz performance prize for piano at the Trier Jazz symposium three times, and studied privately with John Taylor and Michael Herr. Since returning to the United States Larry has performed with Steve Houghton, Eric Schneider, Bobby Lewis and Steve Yeager.

Mr. Price has composed and arranged several pieces for the Winona State University faculty jazz ensemble for which he is the pianist and has done several recordings with area musicians. Larry now teaches full time at St. Mary's University, teaches jazz studies at Winona State University, and plays gigs regularly in the area.
