Personal Information:

After several years as Professor of History at Truman State University in Missouri, John moved to Illinois and is currently a Lecturer in the Department of History, University of Illinois, Urbana. He teaches introductory courses in Western Civilization and courses for majors in British history.

Since 2000, he has increasingly employed computer game technology in the classroom in order to give students a different perspective on the development of historical events. His research interests span the range from religious dissent in Stuart England to the operation of the poor laws in 18th-century London. Recently he has published articles in the New Oxford Dictionary of National Biography and a survey of “Women and the Family” in the Blackwell Companion to Eighteenth Century Britain, ed. H. T. Dickinson. During the Winter Break at Illinois, he leads a group of about 25 students on a short course to London.

David Ezra Sidran, Ph.D. holds a Doctorate in computer science and Master of Computer Science degrees from the University of Iowa. He has worked as a computer game designer since 1985, receiving two Codie Awards from the Software Publishers Association and was named Designer of the Year by Computer Entertainer magazine. He has authored numerous commercial computer wargames, and twice had the number-one commercial computer game.

Ralph Sharp has been employed in the printing/publishing trade for over thirty-five years. Educated at the University of Wisconsin, and then at the Milwaukee Graphic Arts Institute, he has taught classes in Web Design and Internet Programing, Computer Repair and Maintenance, Desk Top Publishing, and Math For The Graphic Arts.

Mr. Sharp is an accomplished graphic artist and designer. He is referred to by his nickname, "the Wizard", for his computer and programing skills.
